Henry A. (Hal) Reniger, III
Hal Reniger is an Independent Financial Consultant.
Proudly independent, Hal works for his clients, not an insurance company, a securities brokerage house, or a bank. Because Hal is independent, he is free to investigate and recommend any blend of strategies and services that best meet the needs of his clients and their families.
Hal specializes in Tax-Efficient Retirement Plan Exit Strategies and Tax-Efficient Social Security Benefit Maximization, and, unlike many in the financial services industry, Hal stresses the importance of working with his clients’ accountant and attorney to create a well balanced plan of action for future retirement, estate tax management, asset preservation, and multi-generational strategies.
As a measure of Hal’s success, he has been included in several editions of ‘Who’s Who in the West’ beginning in 1984, at the age of 32; and has published many articles in his areas of expertise. Hal is approved by the State Bar of California and the California Board of Accountancy to teach Continuing Eduction to Accountants and Attorneys.
Prior to 1994, Hal enjoyed a successful career of nearly 20 years in management positions with manufacturing companies ranging from Fortune 50 to closely held private corporations. His experience includes strategic planning, acquisitions, and start-ups in markets throughout the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
Hal’s educational background includes a BS degree from the University of Utah, and over 60 hours of professional continuing education every year. He belongs to several professional associations, including the CPA-Law Society of Ventura County.
Active in community affairs, he is a member of the Rotary Club of Simi Sunrise and served as the 2015-2016 Vocational Service Director of Rotary District 5240.
Over the years, Hal has served on the Ventura County Star Editorial Board’s Community Advisory Board, Simi Valley Neighborhood Council, The Simi Valley Youth Employment Service Board, and the the board of The Boys & Girls Club of Simi Valley. In addition, he has served as a Merit Badge Counselor, Eagles Board Advisor, and Unit Commissioner for his local Boy Scouts of America District.
Married to Carol for over 40 years, they have two grown sons. Hal is an Eagle Scout, an alumnus of Sigma Nu Fraternity, a Member of the Sons of the American Revolution and enjoys restoring and owning classic Lincoln and Continental automobiles.
